BOE announces commencement dates

Commencement ceremo
nies for the Houston County
high schools will be held
June 1 and 2.
All ceremonies will be
held at the Georgia National
Fairgrounds and Agricenter
in Perry in the Miller-
Murphy-Howard Building.
The graduation ceremony
schedule is shown below.

& Technology Center, June
2, 9 a.m.
■ Warner Robins High
School, June 2, 11 a.m.
■ Houston County High

second annual Rhythm Run
will be held Saturday at 8

the graduation ceremonies
will be held in the Miller-
Murphy-Howard Building,
which is the newest facility
at the fairgrounds.
This building, according to
a release from the board of
education, will offer more
seating than the Reaves
Arena, which has been used
in the past for graduation
ceremonies.
Miller-Murphy-Howard
will be set up to seat 5,700
people, whereas the Reaves
Arena has been set up to
seat 5,300 for past gradua
tion ceremonies, the release

The ceremonies will pro
ceed as customary with the
exception that the Classes
of 2007 will march through
Heritage Hall, if need be,
before proceeding to the
Miller-Murphy-Howard
Building.
The ceremonies will also be
projected on iarge screens in
the Miller-Murphv-Howard
Building and Heritage Hall.

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
At the request of the Georgia National Fairgrounds
& Agricenter, the City of Perry has agreed to close
the following roads for public safety reasons during
the Family Motor Coach Association International
Winter Convention and RV Rally.
Elko Road will be closed between Larry Walker
Parkway and the South Perry Parkway from
7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., March 18 through
March 22, 2007, and Hay Road will be closed
between the Perry Welcome Center and the South
Perry Parkway from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.,
March 18 through March 22, 2007 and from
7:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., March 23, 2007.
