It started when a low flying F

a plume of exhaust and a new
found dream.
A young Air Force ROTC cadet
decided to become a Fighter pilot
that day and the fruition of his
aspirations is an admirable 38-
year career that is coming to its
end.
Col. Bob Doehling, 116th Air
Control Wing vice commander,
retires today and is leaving behind
a long and distinguished career.
“I’ve always enjoyed every
thing I’ve done,” Doehling said.
“There’s been nothing bad in my
career, nothing that I look back on
and wish I hadn’t done. I wouldn’t
change anything.”
Doehling has logged more than
14,000 flying hours on various air
craft and loves each of them for
their own reasons.
“The F-15 is clearly my favorite
because it is the most capable air
craft in the mission I love which
is air-to-air,” he said. “Although,
every airplane I’ve flown I’ve loved
for one reason or another. I loved

as R-2 (10,000 square foot minimum
lot size) for church development.
The other two requests came from
developer Charlie McGlamry and
totaled more than 490 acres. Both
requests asked for rezoning from R
AG for a planned use development
or PUD in Perry named Innsbrook
Place.

a 24.64-acre tract, according to sub

The commissioners did not have

WR officials: Sewerage
capability OK for future
By RAY LIGHTNER
Journal Staff Writer
When it comes to sewerage, Warner
Robins is ready for the city’s growth
into the middle of the county.
City Council heard the latest report
on its sewer system earlier this week.
In the latest area checked - around
Old Perry Road - it was reported that
city sewers are only at 34 of capacity at
peak times. The council heard similar
reports last month other areas in and
around Bonaire.
