Special to the Journal
ChemoChicSM CC, an
affiliate program of the
Georgia Cancer Foundation,
is now available in Central
Georgia. CC as a free, one

them to face the challenge
created by cancer and che

The Central Georgia CC
class will be held the fourth
Saturday of every month at
Lion’s Club International,
which located at 612 North
Houston Lake Blvd., in

The program, accord

directly on the impact of
cancer treatment in the
lives of women. GCF enlists

being and the confidence to
live lives to the fullest.”
Said Rudy Morgan, GCF
Executive Director: “We’ve
long enjoyed offering
ChemoChicSM and all that
it has to offer to women in
Metro Atlanta and North
Georgia. And now, with the
help of the Central Georgia
Komen Affiliate, we’re able
to offer this class to com
munities in another region
in the state.”
Also, according to
the release, the Central
Georgia Affiliate of the
Susan G. Komen Breast
Cancer Foundation played
a significant role in helping
to bring the vital class to
Central Georgia by provid
ing CC with a grant for
2006-07.
“We are excited to be
newly affiliated with
ChemoChicSM here in
Middle Georgia, and specif
ically Warner Robins,” said
Lee Brown, President of
the Central Georgia Komen
Affiliate.
The facilitator chosen to
lead the new CC class is
Christine Pickett, a four
year breast cancer survi
vor and Central Georgia
resident of more than 20
years. She works full-time
at Carlyle and Company
Jewelry in Macon.
“I am so honored to be
able to lead this class and
give back to the community
that helped me through my
cancer experience,” said
