WRLT to hold
auditions for ‘Fences’
Warner Robins Little Theatre
will hold auditions for its first
show of the 2007-2008 season.
June 4 and 5 at 7:30 p.m.
The production is entitle
“Fences”, and is a drama by
August Wilson, Samuel French,
Inc., and directed by Paula Day
Johns. The script calls for an all
black cast of five men and two
women. The theatre is located at
502 South Pleasant Hill Road in
Warner Robins. You can also call

mances: July 13-14, 19-21, 26-28
at 8 p.m. Sunday Matinees: July

Koi pond tour to be
held Saturday
The Middle Georgia Koi Society
will present its annual tour of
ponds Saturday.
Explaining the tour, Cathy
Fogarty said, “Each pond is
unique and fish connoisseurs and
garden lovers will want to be sure
to mark this event on their calen
dars for this weekend.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Admission is $5 for adults and no
charge for children.
A detailed map will be enclosed
with your tickets. A portion of
the proceeds will benefit a local
charity. Past beneficiaries Include
The Shelter for Abused Women,
The salvation Army Angel Tree,
and The Red Cross. There will be
door prizes.

challenger for U.S. Rep. Jim
Marshall’s seat in Congress,
Retired Maj. Gen. Richard
Goddard of Warner Robins

City brokers compromise
agreement on land rezoning

A city-brokered compro
mise on rezoning at the
southeast corner of Lake Joy
Road and Russell Parkway
reduced the impact on the
neighbors.
The rezoning approved by
city council Monday changes
only two of the 10.37 acres
at the corner to C-2 (general
Commercial). The remain
ing 8.37 acres were rezoned
to C-l (neighborhood com
mercial. The entire tract was
previously zoned R-3 (resi

did not take his dismissal

In fact, he was charged
with criminal trespass, crim
inal damage to property and
felony resisting an officer,
