Church burglar gets 13 years
By RAYLIGHTNER

Benjamin Dulac was sen
tenced Monday to 13 years
in prison without parole for a
burglary spree last August.
Dulac entered his plea of
guilty and was sentenced
by Houston Superior Court
Judge Edward Lukemire, to
a total of 30 years to serve
13 years in prison, without
parole. He was banished
from Houston and all con
tiguous counties and fined
SI,OOO.
District Attorney Kelly
Burke said that Dulac’s
lack of parole eligibility was
due to his prior four felony
convictions, all in Houston
County. He had previously
served five years in pris
on for the earlier offenses
and had been out on parole,
which was later revoked,
and was on probation at the
time of these offenses.
In August 2006, Dulac
burglarized the First United
Methodist Church on two
