The Delta Prize, which is endowed by the Delta Air Lines Foundation and administered by the University of Georgia, is awarded on an annual basis to individuals, who by their own initiative have provided oppor tunities for greater understanding among cultures and nations. Red Cross blood drives set for county The following American Red Cross blood drives have been slat ed for Houston County, according to a release: Shirley Hills Baptist Church, which is located at 615 Corder Road, Aug. 16 from 2-7 p.m.; Warner Robins O’ Team at the Houston Mall, which is located at 233 North Houston Road, Aug. 28 from 2-7 p.m.; and the Wal-Mart at 502 Booth Road, Sept. 3 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. CLARIFICATION Air Force Staff Sgt. Oddly enough, Tuesday started off with a collision at 7:10 a.m., but the two cars, the shattered glass and debris were out of sight when city, county and state digni taries gathered at 11:30 a.m. to cut a ribbon and celebrate the completed improvements to the intersection. The House Appropriations Committee approved the funding which includes more than sl4 million for projects at Robins' Air Force Base and the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center.
