The traffic charges included failure to obey person directing traffic, passing on hilUcurve, flee ing or attempting to elude, weaving/failure to main tain lane, obstruction of an officer, leaving scene of an accident, too fast for con ditions, reckless driving, driving with a suspended or revoked license, passing within 200 feet of oncoming traffic, improper turn, driv ing in median/emergency lane and failure to use turn signal. James Dwane Morris, 30 of North County Line Road, Unadilla in south Houston County, was arrested around 7 p.m. Tuesday at his resi dence on County Line Road by sheriffs deputies and charged with rape, aggra vated sodomy, false impris onment, aggravated assault, battery, sexual assault, cru elty to children, criminal damage to property, inter ference with a call for help and terroristic threats. All charges are family violence charges. The incident took place at the residence where the victim is Morris’ live-in girl friend. Morris is accused of sexually assaulting the female and holding her against her will for several hours while a small child was present. Morris also is accused of damaging the residence. According to the incident report, deputies were dis patched about 6:52 p.m. Tuesday, and found the vic tim sitting in a chair by the side of the road at a neigh bor’s house, with her moth er and daughter. According to the incident report, the deputy then walked up to the house and opened the door, attempting to make contact with Morris.
