MMSouth honors top teacher

Mid South Federal Credit
Union presented a SI,OOO
check to Feagin Mill Middle
School teacher, Floyd Jolley,
July 30.
Selected as the 2007-2008
system wide Teacher of the
Year for Houston County,
Jolley was honored as part
of the Opening Session for
the Houston County Board
of Education.
The event was held in
the Miller-Murphy-Howard
Building at the Georgia
National Fairgrounds and
Agricenter, and was attended
by Houston County teachers
and staff.
Mid South Federal Credit
Union was one of 37 other
sponsors attending the
Opening Session. A total of
34 teachers and five employ
ees from around the school
district were also recognized
for their excellence.

the Chamber family with a ribbon cutting ceremony Aug. 8. The grooming salon, which

The Perry Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony for Fickling &
Company Real Estate Services recently. They recently added an office in Perry at 1211
Macon Road. The company’s staff and realtors were joined by elected officials, family,
friends, staff, Perry Chamber Board members and ambassadors, Dogwood Queens as
well as local businesses leaders, for the ceremony.

Fort Belvoir, Fairfax, Va.
James, a special agent,
criminal investigator, is
assigned to the Criminal
Investigation Division.
He is the son of Dwight
C. and Frances S. James
of N. Hiley Court in
Bonaire.
In 1997, James received
a bachelor’s degree from
the University of Georgia
in Athens. He earned a
masters degree in 2007
from the University of
Oklahoma, Norman.
