Army Pvt. Terrence A.
Campbell has graduated
from basic infantry training
at Fort Benning, Columbus.
During the nine weeks of
training, Campbell received
training in drill and ceremo
nies, weapons, map reading,
tactics, military courtesy,
military justice, physical
fitness, first aid, and Army
history, core values and tra
ditions. Additional train
ing included development
of basic combat skills and
battlefield operations and
tactics, and experiencing
use of various weapons and
weapons defenses available
to the infantry crewman.
He is the son of Timothy
Campbell of Willowgate
Drive, and Tammy Campbell
of Seventh Ave., both of
Bonaire. He is also a 2005
graduate of Houston County
High School.

ELECTION - Perry Middle
School will hold a School
Council election Sept. 11 at
5:30 p.m. in the gym. One
parent representative will be
elected. The term of office
is two years with meetings
held quarterly. Interested
parents must be present on
the night of the election to
be nominated and selected.

Heather Hillstrom of Kathleen represented Georgia Aug. 5-6 in Memphis, Tenn., at
the 4-H Regional Horse Show. Out of the numerous states competing, Hillstrom took
home the first place medal in Working Hunter, which is an “over fences” class. She,
a student at Houston County High School, said she is looking forward to her next big
competition. She has qualified for the Marshall and Sterling National Medal finals in
Saugerties, N.Y., in September.
