Commission (meeting was

■ Granted four variances to
Mike Trotter, 900 Washington
Street, to place play house in his
back yard.
■ Recommended approval
of a request from the Perry-
Houston Airport authority to
rezone 12.353 acres along
Airport Road from R-Ag to M-2.
James Marshall expressed
some objection on the basis
that the rezoning could allow the
building of a manufacturing plant
or airport hangars in proximity
to his mother’s home. The final
vote will be made by the Perry
City Council.

Pursuant to 21-2-379.6(c) Notice is hereby given that on the 20th day of September , 2007
Logic and Accuracy Testing of the Direct Recording Electronic (DRE) Units, Encoders and
AccuVote OS Units will begin at 3:oopm at the Houston County Board of Elections Office
located in the Houston County Government Building, 801 Main Street, Perry, Georgia.
Following completion of testing on the DRE Units and Encoders; Logic and Accuracy
Testing of the AccuVote OS Units will begin and continue until complete.
This equipment will be used for absentee, in person absentee/advance voting and the
tabulation of votes for the November 6, 2007 General Election.
This testing is open to the public.

meeting on HR 900 in the audi
torium at the Houston County
Board of Education building on
Main Street in Perry at 1 p.m.
Tuesday.
HR 900 is a proposal to abolish
all ad valorem taxes in Georgia,
replacing that revenue with an
expanded sales tax. The meet
ing is open to the public.
■ The Perry City Council will
meet Tuesday with a work ses
sion at 5 p.m. in the second
floor conference room, and the
regular meeting at 6 p.m.
Both meetings are open to the
public.

Forgery arrests made In WR
From staff reports
Two men and a woman
were arrested by the
Warner Robins police this
past Wednesday on charg
es of multiple forgeries of
checks and possession of
methamphetamine.
Matthew Hughes, Jason
Blount and Bradi Stephens
were released on bond after
being arrested and charged.
The investigation is ongo
ing. The charges stem from
numerous police reports
documenting fraudulent
activity on the part of the
suspects. A search warrant
was executed at their resi

ous banks, as well as mak
ing Georgia identifications,
which included their picture
with the names of those on
the fraudulent checks they
created. Blount is accused
.of pawning merchandise
purchased by Hughes and
was reportedly in posses
sion of methamphetamine.
Multiple businesses were
reportedly victims of the
suspects.
