RAISER -The Byron Middle
School fund-raiser will be
held Oct. 4 from 6-8 p.m.
at the Byron Middle School
Cafeteria. It will be catered by
Carrabba’s Italian Grill - they
will prepare Chicken Marsala,
a side pasta, Italian salad
and bread. The school will
be providing the dessert and
tea. The tickets are $lO. If
you order the same entree at
Carrabba’s, the price is sl6.
The last date to purchase
tickets is Friday. To obtain

fund-raiser will benefit the

WORKSHOP- The Fine Art
Society of Middle Georgia will
sponsor a watercolor paint
ing workshop Oct. 19 and
20 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
The instructor, according to a
release, will be Jack Shields
of Atlanta who is an expe
rienced watercolorist and
teacher. He has presented
workshops in many states.

will be in Warner Robins at
Ted Wright Park on Moody
Road. The cost is $175 for
non-members of the Art

Bonaire woman wins
$5,000 in drawing

A Bonaire woman, accord
ing to a release, is feeling
great about winning the lot
tery. Jennifer Wilson, 28,
won $5,000 when she was
randomly selected in the
Georgia’s Millionaire Club
weekly drawing held Aug.
24. As a result of her lucky
win, she now has a chance to
win $lO million.
Wilson said she was at
home doing yard work when
her sister called and shared
the news that her name had
been selected during the
televised drawing.
“I was jumping up and
down,” she said.
Wilson, who provides
childcare services, lives in
Bonaire with her husband,
Randy, and their three chil
dren.
“I will buy something spe
cial for my children,” she
exclaimed. “I love it.”

UFVSU PREVIEW DAYS
-Fort Valley State University’s
Office of Admissions will host
its annual Fall Preview Days
conjunction with the instant
game Georgia’s SSOO Million
Club. Each weekly Georgia’s
Millionaire Club winner will
receive $5,000 and become a
finalist in the Extra Chance
$lO Million Grand Prize
Drawing.
Players can mail in a non
winning Georgia’s SSOO
Million Club ticket to enter
the Georgia’s Millionaire
Club drawings. Complete
the back of the ticket, add
a stamp, and mail the ticket
as a postcard. The Georgia
Lottery will conduct a week
ly drawing from all entries
received that week.
