PERRY - Alrie J. Adams, Sr.
(A.J.) passed away Saturday,
Sept. 29, 2007. Funeral servic
es were held Monday, October
1, 2007 at Perry Presbyterian
Church with interment follow
ing at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Reverends Bob Wojohn, Parker
Agnew and Jim Shipley will offi
ciate.
Mr. A.J., a resident of Perry
for 57 years was retired from
RAFB and a member of Perry
Presbyterian Church. He was
preceded in death by his beloved
wife of 54 years, Lucia Young
Adams and a grandson, Greg
Adams.
Survivors include: a son, Alrie
J Adams, Jr. (Deborah) of Perry;
a daughter, Evelyn Anne Turner
(Jay) of Cochran; grandchildren,
Michael Adams, Anne Adams of
Perry and Rob Turner and Paul
Turner of Cochran.

Frank Jaros
MACON - Mr. Frank Jaros,
85, of Perry, and lately of Byron,
died Friday, Sept. 28, from com
plications following surgery. A
private memorial service will be
held.
Mr. Jaros was born Dec. 9,
1921, in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. He
studied agriculture at Ohio State
University. Frank and his family
moved from Ohio to the middle
Georgia area in the early 19605.
He farmed full time just north of
Perry on U.S. 41 and in Peach
County. He never considered
retiring and actively farmed full
time until just shortly before his

it how it is” kind of person, Mr.
Jaros could always be counted
on to have a story to tell.
Preceded in death by his son
George Jaros, a member of the
first graduating class of Westfield
Schools, Mr. Jaros is survived
by his wife Doris, a son, Mike
(Sallie) Jaros, of Fort Valley, and
a daughter, Judy (Harry) Jaros
Johnson, of Albany. Seven times
a grandfather, his grandchildren
include Bryon (Tiffany) Jaros,
Stephanie (Jimmie) Favors,
Jimmy Johnson, Jennifer
Johnson, Wendy Johnson,
Jamie Jaros, and Kellie Jaros.
“Papa" was also the proud great
grandfather of Chelsey and
Caleb Jaros.
The family requests that in lieu
of flowers, memorial contribu
tions be made to the Georgia
Sheriff’s Boys Ranch, P. O. Box
100, Hahira, GA 31632, or to a
favorite charity of the donor’s

Junior Gallimore
WARNER ROBINS - Chief
Master Sgt. Junior “JC” Gallimore
USAF (Ret.), 66, passed away
Saturday. His father preceded
him in death. Survivors include
his partner in life, Carol Watson
of Warner Robins; his mother,
a daughter, stepdaughter, step
son, two sisters, two grandchil
dren and beloved niece and
nephews.
Grace Fowler Siedge
ELKO - Grace Fowler Sledge,
80, died in Perry on Sunday,
Sept. 30, 2007. Funeral services

Born in Dooly County, and
the son of the late Winslow and
Bonnie Mae Fields Fowler, Mrs.
Sledge had lived in Houston
County most of her life. She
was a nurse assistant at the
Perry Hospital for 20 years and
worked in the labor and delivery
room. Mrs. Sledge was a mem
ber of the First Baptist Church of
Haynesville.
Survivors include her son,
Tommy W. Sledge of Elko, one
grandchild, four great grand
children and one brother, L. G.

Vera M. Rutherford
WARNER ROBINS - Vera M.
Rutherford, 89, passed away
Sunday. She was preceded in
death by her parents. Survivors
include two sons, five grandchil
dren, nine great grandchildren
and a sister. Services will be
held at 11 a.m. today in the
chapel of McCullough Funeral
Home with interment following in
Parkway Memorial Gardens.
Delphine Leverett
WARNER ROBINS - Delphine
Leverett, 46, passed away
Monday. Her father, Raymond
Garcia, Sr., and sister Ann
Garcia preceded her in death.
Survivors include her compan
ion, Dewey Leverett Jr., Warner
Robins, three children, her moth
er, two brothers, six sisters and a
granddaughter.
Services will be private.

Director Cosey seconded the
motion. Directors Kim Mullins
and Robert Lumpkin opposed it,
Director Dixon abstained. Walker
voted in favor and the motion
carried by a 3-2 vote with Director
Pearlie Dixon abstaining.
