CITY OF CENTERVILLE
CLERK POSITION
This position is responsible for maintaining files with sensitive personal
information, this employee must be dedicated and very mindful of confidentiality
at all times. The employee’s communication skills must be above average. He/shc
must have an above average knowledge in operating computer equipment. Due
to the type of work that will be required, he/shc must have extended knowledge
of office management.
The Assistant Court Clerk shall possess the ability to read, write, and perform
mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of
high school or its equivalent. The Assistant Court Clerk must also have relevant
experience indicative of the incumbent’s ability to perform functions associated
with the completion of the job.
Applicants with skills, knowledge and abilities pertaining to the court system and
the various forms filed through the court; and of law enforcement practices and
procedures; municipal ordinances and/or laws (criminal, civil and traffic) and
department policies and procedures; the legal rights of the general public, suspects,
arrestees, and convicted persons; processes required to schedule court cases and
court docket, corresponding with appropriate persons related to upcoming trials;
required steps to transmit data to state and federal agencies are preferred.
Applicants with good oral and written communication skills along with basic
clerical tasks; dealing with the general public; follows oral and written instructions
well arc preferred.
Applicant should be genuinely interested in the City of Centerville and its progress.
Applicant must possess good communication and public relations skills. Position
