"What ever happened t 0...?"
is probably the most common question
I find in my mailbox. Here is an update on
a few celebs with new projects to report.

Q. What is Aisha Tyler doing? Why
' did she leave Ghost Whisperer? i
Mac Cochran, Montana, 111 A
Tyler says her exit from the Jfii
CBS drama was difficult. “I JUk j
had the opportunity to take
on some film projects,
which were a deep pas-
sion of mine,” she shares with
us via e-mail. Tyler, 37, continues '
to work hard: She’s set to tape a
one-hour TV comedy special; she’s
in the crime drama Black Water
Transit with Laurence Fishbume;
she’s propping to direct a film from
a script she wrote; and she plans to
follow up her 2004 book, Siverve.
Qj What is the latest on one of my
* favorites, John Corbett? Will he be in
the new Sex and the City movie?
Donna Fitzgerald, Taunton, Mass, i
*lr v gj
No. But he’s ex
cited to see it
He tells us he j
called buddy A
Chris Noth for 1
gossip but got
“nothing.” Cor-
bett is busy with his
band; he’s opened for Keith
Urban and Carrie Under
wood. He is making a movie
with Charlize Theron, and he
made The Night Watchman
with Forest Whitaker.
Corbett, 47. has
his own band.

FRASER
when his third Mummy movie, The Mummy: Tomb of the M
Dragon Emperor, opens. On the personal front, Fraser,
39, and wife Afton Smith are divorcing.
Since retiring from the Washington Wizards in 2003,
basketball great Michael Jordan has kept a lower profile in
the NBA as part-owner of the Charlotte Bobcats. Off the court,
he’s the owner of Michael Jordan Motorsports, currently in
its fourth year of sponsoring a team in the Superbike class
of the American Motorcyclist Association. Apparently, His
Airness, 44, always has been a motorcycle fanatic, but he
never could ride during his time in the NBA because of the
potential for injury. These days, Jordan's fanatic energy is
reserved for rooting for his son Jeff, who is a freshman on
the University of Illinois basketball team. E2J

Q* I have been a fan
of actor Avery
Brooks ever since the
beginning of Star Trek:
Deep Space Nine, and I
miss him. I would love
to know that this man's
career is doing well.
Darren Garten
Fort Lauderdale
Brooks is doing well,
indeed. He is an ac-
complished opera singer and theater actor,
and he recently finished playing the title
role in Christopher Marlowe’s Tambur
laine at the Shakespeare Theatre in Wash-
ington, D.C. He played
a Central Asian em
peror who is a pas
sionate warrior even
tually undone by his
ambition. Brooks, 59,
had to cancel some
performances around
Christmastime after
Ik an injury; but he
returned and fin-
Hg ished the run in
|Hk January.
Jordan is a fan now.
