Well, Draper is at it again.
He surprised his wife with
a birthday dinner party.

The Rainbow House Fund
Raiser held at Leta’s on the
Square went great. Michael
Kinsley was the big winner
with the amount of money
raised by an individual. I was
told that over $6,000 was
raised in Perry. “We” raised
more in Perry than Warner
Robins did at Cheddars!!!!!
Great local support from our

Joyce Jones called me the
other day to tell me that
her daughter, Selecia won
SIO,OOO. Of course my first
question was, “Did she play
the lottery?” No, Selecia
won the money on the CBS
Show, Survivor. Each week
during the Survivor 16, one
lucky fan wins SIO,OOO. It is

Lora and Mike Davis are
moving to Tallassee, FI. Lora
has already left and moved
to Florida, and Mike is stay
ing in Perry til the house
sells. Lora has accepted a
new job as CEO of a hospital
down there. Congrats Girl.
I will miss you! OK, maybe
I will miss Mike a little bit
too!!! Keep me posted on

We’re almost home. I have
picked up the boys from base
ball practice and am driving
down the driveway through
the woods. Amazingly, it is
peaceful in the Suburban as
we listen to the radio. Out
of nowhere, some creature
lands on his hands and feet
right on my windshield. “Oh
my gosh. Something is on
the windshield!” I screech.
The boys start to laugh and
say, “We got you. We got
you”. I then realize that

Students at Matt Arthur Middle School have a hit on their hands, with two
sold-out presentations of Disney’s “High School Musical on Stage!”
Directd by Andy Payne with music direction by Rick Gonzalez, choreogra
phy by Lara mckay and costumes by Bienda Henderson, the show features 46
fourth and fifth graders, 11 second and third graders, and three adults in the
adult roles required for the show.
“High School Musical” is a popular musical about “jocks, brainiacs, thespi
ans and skater dudes.”
The play, recently performed at Perry High School, is being performed by
other schools around the state, according to Andy Payne, who noted “We are
the only elementary school in the state of Georgia trying to pull off this show.
Students Chase Hollingsworth, Arianna Mazzarello, Ella Ondik and Tyler
Frye have the lead roles of Troy, Gabriela, Sharpay and Ryan.
The play opened Friday night in the MAE cafeteria and will have a second
performance tonight. Donations will be taken to help support the Notable
nights.

Perry Players held the opening performance of William
Inge’s Picnic. Directed by Jeff Lintz and produced by
Jennifer Duckworth, the award winning drama is set in a
small Kansas town in the 1950 s and deals with the unex
pected tensions beneath the surface of supposedly ordinary
lives.
In the cast are Delynn Gilboe-Hokanson as Helen Potts;
Louis P Rowe 111 as Hal Carter; Katey Randall as Millie
Owens; Michael Hicks as Bomber Gutzel; Megan Johnson
as Madge Owens; Cathy Hutto as Flo Owens; Jordan
Crandall as Alan Seymore; Crystal Becker as Rosemary
Sydney; Melissa Kokansan as Irma Kronkite; Elizabeth
Giles as Christine Schoenwalker, and Michael Hicks as
Howard Bevans.
The play is sponsored by CB&T Bank of Middle Georgia
and Robins Federal Credit Union of Perry.
Performances will be at 8 p.m. tonight, 2:30 p.m. Sunday,
continuing on May 7,8, 9 and 10. Reservations should be
