Q. Where is Keanu Reeves these days?
Kathy Holleran, Red Bluff Calif
He plays a rogue cop in the new movie
Street Kings, and he rode with LAPD of
ficers to research the role. Says Reeves,
“They told me, ‘You’re always in fight/
flight mode, so your adrenaline is up.
Then you go home and have to deal with
it’ ” Although Reeves, 43, often plays
cops, he never wanted to be one. “I
wanted to be a race car driver, an in-
ventor, a conductor of an orchestra or a nu
clear physicist” He keeps a low profile, mak
ing one or two movies a year, then disappear
ing. He is mum on his romantic life. When
asked about finding the perfect match, he
says, “I’m just looking for one that works.”

Q* Tell me about the dazzling Michelle Forbes,
just seen in the HBO series In Treatment.
Is she married or dating?
Chris Capano, MillxUme, NJ.
Sorry, Chris. Forbes, 43, won’t talk about her
personal life, other than to claim the
three mutts we hear barking in the A
nackground. She swears v/e’d “be
bored to tears” by the details, but I
really she wants to be a “blank I
canvas” to ensure she’s offered I
variety and not pigeonholed in fl
any role. “I’ve walked away from H
a lot of money many times,” she HI
says. “But I never second-guess.” H
