Dear Perry Residents, District 3,
My name is Dudley Christie and I am running for the Perry City Council seat vacated
by Brian Bowen. I have lived in Perry for 33 years and raised all of my children in Perry.
I am a graduate of the Unversity of* Georgia and received my Doctor of Optometry
degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN in 1973. I have been
married to my wife, Linda, for 38 years. We are the proud parents of two sons and a
daughter. Benjie, a surgeon at the Macon Medical Center, Cole, a rear estate appraiser/
investor, and Whitney, an elementary teacher from Athens, GA. I presently operate five
eye care centers throughout the Middle Georgia area, provide eye care for the VA as
well as provide eye services for a number of prisons in the Middle Georgia area.
As a businessman, I have managed multimillion-dollar investment projects and have
been responsible for many employees. I have been successful in the wireless communica
tion industry domestically and overseas.
Perry is a special, unique community with plenty of small town charm and values
that I am thankful for. Perry has always attracted a loyal resident because of good police
and fire protection, great schools, and plenty of community pride. In the past five years,
Perry has seen remarkable change with increased residential growth and tourism. It is
important that Perry’s leaders have the vision to plan for the growth and challenges that
lay ahead for our community.
I can provide that vision and guidance for Perry and insure that when local residents
speak, that the City government listen and address their local concerns. Together we
can'meet these challenges and take something good and make it even better.
Please vote for me, Dudley Christie on July 15th.
With warm regards,
Paidfor by the candidate
