Two graduates basic training; another deploys to Southwest Asia

Air Force Reserve Airman
Timothy J. Kijawski has
graduated from basic mili
tary training at Lackland
Air Force Base, San Antonio,
Texas.
During the six weeks of
training, Kijawski stud
ied the Air Force mission,
organization, and military
customs and courtesies; per
formed drill and ceremony
marches, and received phys
ical training, rifle marks
manship, field training exer
cises, and special training in
human relations.
In addition, those who
complete basic training earn
credits toward an associate
in applied science degree

in the Persian Gulf region
to support the missions
of Operations Iraqi and
Enduring Freedom and Joint
Task Force Horn of Africa as
a member of the 379th Air
Expeditionary Wing. Johns is
normally assigned to the 51st
Combat Communications
Squadron, Robins Air Force
Base.
Wing members provide
support for the U.S. Air
Forces Central mission.
The 379th AEW is a large,

will also work collaborative
ly with MGTC to reach out
to K-12 students to gener
ate interest in Aerospace
careers and will participate
in existing youth-targeted
MGTC programs such as
dual enrollment, co-ops, and
forgotten, he was well-known
for his stories, books and
screenplays (Topper Takes a
Trip), and he even sat in with
the Algonquin Round Table.
