Bus ramp

Six vehicles were bro
ken into on Perry High
School property Sept. 19,
according to Capt. Heath
Dykes of the Perry Police
Department.
Most of the vehicles
belonged to students, he
said. I Pod’s, cell phones
and other items were sto
len.
In what was apparent
ly a related incident, on
Monday school Resource
Officer Thomas Daily dis
covered a vehicle in the
ditch close to the post
office on North Ave.
Officers at that time
also observed two black
males running from the
vehicle. It was a Plymouth
Voyager van that belongs
to a teacher at Perry High
School.
According to Dykes, the
two boys entered the van
and then drove it through
the bus ramp, damaging
the awning, and knock
ing over several poles. The
collision caused extensive
damage to the vehicle and
the bus ramp. *
The two suspects - juve
niles - are students at
Perry High School. Both
were arrested.
Prior to stealing the
van they had broken into
another teacher’s vehicle
and stolen a Nintendo DS
Game boy, and other items,
Dykes said. Both students
were charged with eight
counts of entering an auto,
one count of theft by tak
ing a motor vehicle, inter
ference with government
property and disruption of
a public school.
The students are being
held at the Youth Detention
Center in Macon pending
their hearing.
“We were able to recover
most of the high dollar
items, such as I Pod’s, cell
phones, and the Nintendo, ”
Dykes added.

It was part of a program

See You At The Pole is

“Red light,” said the jump

his heart pounding in his

Fear mixed with adrena

Nevertheless he knew he

said. “Stand up! Hook up!
Equipment check!”
Shortly thereafter came
the call from the pilot.
