The first Houston County “Breast Cancer Bunko” fundraising event was recently
held for Susan G. Komen. The total amount raised was $7,700. In the picture is Judy
Coleman presents the check to Beverly Stanley who is the chairwoman of Susan G.
Komen. All funds stay in Central Georgia for research for Breast Cancer.

Rickieva Jackson, Corey Pettiford
married at Faith Bible Fellowship
Rickieva C. Jackson and Corey Pettiford were married on Sept.
13, at Faith Bible Fellowship Church. The Rev. Willie King offici
ated.
The bride, who is the daughter of Chery; Jackson, Frank and
Jeannie Jackson, was given in marriage by her father.
Music was provided by Sean Martin and Nikia Hester and the
reception was hosted by Women of Glory and Marjorie White.
The bride wore a strapless ivory sequined gown with cham
pagne overlay. Faith King was maid of honor. Tammie Blalock,
Rickayla Jackson and LaShaunda Graham were bridesmaids, and
the flower girls were A’Mia Jones and Joy Allen
The groom is the son of Sylvia Pettiford and Collin Pettiford
of Roxboro, N.C. He chose lakee Pettiford as his best man. Kent
Williams, Corey Selmon Jr. and Frank Jackson Jr. were grooms
men, and Nicholas Williams was ringbearer.

The Graffe Quartet has
appeared at hundreds of
concerts in their homeland,
in many European coun
tries, and across the USA.

Marketplace will be held
at All Saints Episcopal
Church in Warner Robins
Nov. 15, 9 a.m.-l p.m.
Breakfast and lunch will

wiches for lunch.
There will be 19 ven
dors displaying their
wares in the Parish Hall.

Candles, Discovery Toys,
and individuals with chil
dren’s appliqued items,
Christmas decorations
and flower arrangements,

November wedding date
Mr. and Mrs. Keith Seamon of Perry announce the engage
ment of their daughter Ashley Seamon to Jack Anthony
Whiddon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Whiddon of Perry. The
wedding is planned for Nov. 22 at Walt Disney World in
Buena Vista, Florida.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Lyndon Stewart of Clinchfield, and of Mr. and Mrs.
Kenneth Seamon of Warner Robins.
She is a 2007 graduate of the University of Georgia with a
degree in Agriculture Education and is currently attending
graduate school at the University of Georgia majoring in
Agriculture Leadership.
The groom-to- is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Jack Wilson of Perry; of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Keily of Perry, and
Mr. and Mrs. William Whiddon of Bainbridge. He is a senior
at the University of Georgia majoring in Agriculture and
Environmental Systems, and will graduate in August 2009
with a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture and Environmental
Systems.
The couple will make their home in Perry, where there will
be a reception for them in January.

be held from 5-6 p.m. on

Friday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.,
and that Saturday, 9 a.m.
Talk
was a little too loud for me. The only thing that I kept asking
him was, “Are you sure that you know where this restaurant
is.” Dinner was great. The menu consisted of Tuna, Crab
and Rabbit. The entire evening was a welcomed change
from the start of my day. Guess who we were meeting for
dinner? Read my column next week and hear the rest of the
story. It gets even better.
Boys
to decide what to do for the
rest of the evening. Tully
continues to read, I clean up
the kitchen, and Kerry, Tal,
Hunter, Ben, and Luke play
a board game called “Life”.
The object of the game is
to move around the board,
going to college, getting mar
ried, and having kids along
the way. As I wash dishes,
the boys announce each time
they have a child.
“I hope you got married
first”, I yell from the kitch
en. The game winds down
without any violent out
breaks and it’s finally time
for bed. It seems Kerry’s

be half price on Saturday.
