What to do, where to turn
Dear Mr.
Rockefeller,
some money has
turned up missing where
I work and my supervi
sor and the police want
to talk to me - How do I
deal with this situation?
Dear Reader, I can appre
ciate how uncomfortable you
must feel. The typical day
to-day “dance” of work-poli
tics can be so draining and
they become almost unbear
able when you are under
the microscope of suspected
criminal activity.
When law enforcement
officers are investigating a
crime, they depend on peo
ple who will talk to them;
one of our civic duties is to
help solve a crime. After all,
wouldn’t we all want every
one helping to solve a crime
committed against someone
A column aimed at helping seniors - ‘baby boomers’
Welcome to our
first weekly col
umn: “All About
Seniors”.
In the weeks and months
to come we will be writing
on topics here that are “All
About Seniors”, but not nec
essarily to seniors; at least
not to our older seniors.
Instead, we’re going to
be focusing this column
mostly on younger seniors,
or “boomers”, who often
times find themselves in the
“sandwich” looking after

crimes that could have been
stopped if people had only
acted more selflessly.
Furthermore, under cer

there is (or should be) a
strong incentive to fully and

IDD’s requires that purchas
ers receive disclosure docu
ments stating that all taxes
(assessments) of the district
are “capped by law,” in fact
the only legal limit on such
charges is left to the discretion
of each District Board. Actual
legal caps were amended out
of the bill prior to final pas
sage in 2007. The District
Board can set the charges
at any level it desires; that
decision is merely a business
arrangement which bears no
resemblance to actual law.
Amendment Three is a bad
idea whose time has yet to
arrive - I urge Georgia voters
to turn “thumbs down" on this
pipedream. If it was a good
deal for the average Joe, do
you think developers would
be pushing so hard for its
passage?

Accordingto Andy Holland,
Election Technician at the
Houston County Board of
Elections, as of the close of
the work day on Thursday,
24,103 Houston Countians
have already cast their
votes in person, and 3,425
absentee ballots had been
received.
Houston County has
71,786 registered voters, and
election workers are expect

Yet, countering this civic
duty is every individu
al’s constitutional rights.
Everyday, we are literally
bombarded with core prin
ciples of the sth Amendment
when we watch TY a DVD,
or go the movies - we hear
a suspect being read his or
her “Miranda” rights when
being fictionally arrested.
These rights have to be
read to a “detained” (this
can be less than an arrest)
suspect, before the police
can begin any interrogation.
If they are not waived, or if
an attorney is requested, the
police have to terminate any
questioning.
Perhaps the most impor
tant phrase in the “Miranda”
rights to contemplate is, “. .

‘Obama obsessed
to become first
black president 1
Obama is obsessed.
His making history by
becoming the first black to
be President of the United
States has become his
obsession; he will stop at
nothing. Obama is afflicted
with an acute case of “delu
sions of grandeur”. His mind
does not work like a normal
person’s mind does. He is a
racist, and an elitist and feels
that if he becomes President
of the United States the world
will bow down to him.
He has based his entire
campaign on slogans, pipe

Voters should be aware
that there will be no voting
on Monday, which is a day
needed to set up the polling
places. The polls will be open
on Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 7
p.m. Photo ID is required
under Georgia law.
Holland said that the big
gest crowds are usually in
the early morning and late
afternoon, before and after
people’s work days, so those
who are able to do so may
wish to come mid-morning
or mid-afternoon to avoid
the longer lines.
if the money goes missing
reverse is NOT true, i.e.,
your silence can NOT be
used against you.
So, if you just sit there and
refuse to talk to the police, it
might make raise suspicions
and intensify law enforce
ment’s focus on you - this
would also be true by refus
ing to talk to your boss.
The decision every per
son has to make is either to
cooperate immediately and
hope that doing so will clear
your name, or ignore your
civic duties to protect your
constitutional rights. Not an
easy choice.
If you are legitimately
concerned and it is practi
cable, the wise decision is to
take the precaution of hir
ing an attorney before you
possibly make things worse.
Your attorney can act with
out negative repercussions
help in providing that care
for them.
In other words, all of us
are going to be affected by
this major demographic
shift in one way on another.
It is absolutely unavoid
able.
Some of the topics we’ll
be addressing are:
he cannot keep. All we know
about him is what he himself
has said. No one knows who
he really is, or what he will do
to America if elected.
The degree of his obses
sion is evident by his sleazy
actions concerning ACORN,
his poor judgment calls, and
his reluctance to make pub
lic information the voters are
entitled to know.
Obama has some serious
problems that will become
evident should he win this
election. Why take a chance
on this man who deliberately
deceives us?

and permit you to fulfill
your civic duty. Your attor

on your behalf, even provid

the act of this cooperation,
nor what your attorney says
*can be used against you - an
attorney can almost never
be made a witness.
Also, consulting an attor

you ARE guilty; to save

Your attorney will, before
you give your statement,
involve the prosecuting
attorney in this cooperation
to make sure any “deal” is
binding.
