Flint Plans Outages in
South Houston County Dec.
15-16
Flint Energies, according
to a release, has planned
outages for south Houston
County Monday and
Tuesday.
According to the release,
Flint will upgrade lines on
those days.

HCBOE seeking input on
2009-2010 school calendar
Special to the Journal
The Houston County Board of Education is conducting
an online survey to gather opinions about the proposed
2009-2010 school calendar. The results, according to a
release, will be reviewed by the board before setting the
calendar. Anyone who is interested is encouraged to com
plete the short survey.
The proposed calendar is similar to this year’s school
calendar, except that a winter break in February would
