Aggravated stalking and reckless driving among incidents reported
The Barrow County
Sheriff’s Office recently
responded to the following
incidents:
•aggravated stalking at a
Karis Lane, Winder, resi
dence, where a man reported
a dispute between his girl
friend and his girlfriend’s
brother, but in the end the
man who reported the dis
pute ended up getting arrest
ed because he had a Tempo
rary Protective Order (TPO)
against him that was filed by
his girlfriend.
•reckless driving and
speeding on University
Parkway at McNutt Creek
Road, where the driver of
a 2003 Honda Accord was
stopped for speeding 99 mph
in a 65 mph speed zone.
•speeding and driving
while driver's license is sus
pended or revoked on Nun-
nally Road SE at Jones Cir
cle, Winder, where the driver
of a 1995 Mazda MX6 was
stopped for speeding 67 mph
in a 45 mph speed zone.
•criminal trespass and
simple battery at a Blake-
wood Street, Bethlehem,
residence, where a civil
dispute over residency was
reported between a man and
his fiance's mother.
•entering an automobile
or other motor vehicle with
the intent to commit a theft
or other felony and theft by
taking at a Highway 211
NW, Winder, residence,
where a woman reported
a laptop computer missing
from her vehicle.
•too fast for condi
tions and improper/erratic
lane change on University
Parkway at Carl-Bethle-
hem Road, Winder, where
a single vehicle wreck was
reported.
•theft by taking at a Nun-
nally Road SE, Winder,
residence, where a woman
reported the theft of her
2006 Dodge Stratus.
•possession of metham-
phetamine, simple battery -
Family Violence Act (FVA)
and criminal trespass at a
Briscoe Mill Road, Beth
lehem, residence, where a
domestic dispute was report
ed between a female and her
boyfriend.
•stalking and harassing
phone calls at a Jefferson
Highway, Winder, residence,
where a woman and a man
reported being harassed by
the woman's ex-boyfriend.
•terroristic threats and acts
at a Harmony Grove Church
Road, Auburn, residence,
where a woman reported she
and her boyfriend had got
ten into a dispute in Gwin
nett County and during the
dispute her boyfriend put
a knife to her throat and
threatened to kill her. The
complainant said she was
able to get away from her
boyfriend and she fled to
her parent’s house in Auburn
and her boyfriend had been
threatening to kill her and
her family through text mes
sages.

Walmart, Atlanta Highway
NW, Winder, residence
where a female reportedly
selected $464 in merchan
dise and exited the store,
passing all points of sale,
without attempting to pay
for the items.
•burglary and theft by tak
ing at an Atlanta Highway
SE, Winder, business, where
a man reported $14,300 in
items missing from two
buildings located on his
property that had been bro
ken into.
•burglary and theft by tak
ing at a Bankhead High
way, Winder, where a man
reported the theft of a 2008
Yamaha BearCat from under
a pole barn on his property.

at a Nantucket Drive, Beth
lehem, residence, where a
domestic dispute was report
ed between a woman and her
boyfriend.

that shattered the back side

attending a wedding became
argumentative and combat

wedding and the wedding
planner whom she slapped
on her right arm.

where the landlord reported
his former tenant had dam
aged his property.
•terroristic threats and
acts at a Huckleberry Lane,
Winder, residence, where
a woman reported being in
an ongoing dispute with her
son and receiving a message
from him that he “would
burn her house down with
everyone in it.”
•theft by taking at a David
Avenue, Winder, residence,
where a woman reported the
theft of a Currahee trailer.
•terroristic threats at a
Fleeman Road, Hoschton,
residence, where a man
reported an argument
between a female and his
neighbor about missing
chickens.
•hit and run; duty of the
driver to stop at or return to
the scene of an accident at
Applebee’s on Carl-Beth-
lehem Road, Bethlehem,
where a Ford F-150 truck
reportedly struck a parked
Honda motorcycle.
•criminal trespass at
a Corinth Church Road,
Winder, residence, where a
woman reported that some
one had set a patch of grass
in her lawn on fire.
•outstanding arrest war
rant and willful obstruction
of law enforcement officers
at a Dooley Town Road,
Statham, residence.
•theft by taking at a
Summer Lane, Auburn,
residence, where a woman
reported approximately
$1,000 in cash had been sto
len from her bedroom.
•vehicle fire at a Hillside
Court NW, Winder, resi
dence, where a 2000 Dodge
Durango was on fire in the
driveway.
•entering an automobile or
other motor vehicle with the
intent to commit a theft or
other felony and criminal
trespass at a Dee Kennedy
Road, Winder, residence,
where a man reported some
one had entered his 2015
Chevrolet Colorado and took
an iPad and a checkbook
that contained 6-7 checks.
•financial transaction card
fraud at a Smith Cemetery
Road, Winder, residence,
where a woman reported
fraudulent activity on her
bank debit card.
•verbal domestic dis
pute at a Plantation Road,
Winder, residence, where
a woman reported an argu
ment with her daughter.
•speeding, improper lane
change/failure to maintain
lane, open container vio
lation, possession of mari
juana and driving without
a valid driver’s license on
Hog Mountain Road, Wind
er, where the driver of a
2008 Chevrolet Tahoe was
stopped for going 71 mph in
a 55-mph speed zone.
•willful obstruction of
law enforcement officers
and possession and use of
drug-related objects at a Fort
Street, Winder, residence,
where a neighbor reported
a possible burglary in prog
ress, due to seeing flash
lights behind his neighbor's
residence.
•forgery and unauthorized
use of financial transaction
card at a Tanners Bridge Cir
cle, Bethlehem, residence,
where a woman reported her
daughter’s ex-boyfriend had
forged one of her checks
and cashed it and had used
her debit card to make an
online purchase without her
permission.
•theft by deception at an
Azalea Drive, Winder, res
idence, where a woman
reported being scammed out
of $2,000 in Amazon gift
cards that she used to pay an
invoice she received for the
purchase and shipping fees
for a truck.
•failure to secure load on
University Parkway at Kil-
crease Road, Auburn, where
a man reported damage to
his 1996 BMW after a board
came off a Ford F-250 truck
and struck his vehicle.
•loitering or prowling and
possession of methamphet-
amine at an Old Victron
School Road, Auburn, res
idence, where a suspicious
person was reportedly trying
to enter houses in the neigh
borhood.
•theft by shoplifting at
Target, Loganville Highway,
Bethlehem, where a male
reportedly took a pair of
Beats headphones, placed
them in the front of his
pants, and exited the store
without paying for the item.
•harassing phone calls
at an East Broad Street,
Winder, location, where a
man reported his 17-year-
old daughter was dating a
23-year-male. The com
plainant stated they made
their daughter stop having
contact with the male and
he had "tried” to call her 78
times and had contacted her
through email.
•aggravated assault, dis

indecency at a Lochwolde
Lane, Bethlehem, residence,
where a domestic dispute
was reported.

man reported someone had
knocked out the window on
his garage door.

a traffic stop was initiated on
the driver of a 1994 Honda
Accord traveling 70 mph in
a 55-mph speed zone.

Brook Ridge, Bethlehem,
residence, where a woman
reported her ex-fiance had
posted nude photos of her on
Facebook.
•forgery at Walmart,
Atlanta Highway NW,
Winder, where a man tried
to pay for merchandise with
a counterfeit $100 bill.
•terroristic threats and acts

Road, Auburn, residence,
where a man reported anoth
er male had threatened to
kill him.

residence, where a woman
reported receiving threaten
ing text messages on her
cell phone from her former
boyfriend.
•damage to property at a
Skyland Court, Winder, resi
dence, where a man reported
damage to his 2013 Ford
F-150 truck that was parked
in his driveway.
•hit and run; duty of the
driver to stop at or return
to the scene of an acci
dent on Atlanta Highway
SE at Pleasant Hill Church
Road SE, Statham, where
a woman reported a small
blue car had struck her 2008
Dodge Ram truck and did
not stop.
•burglary, criminal tres
pass and criminal damage
to property at a Ridgeview
Road, Auburn, residence,
where a couple reported the
back door of the residence
open and several items miss
ing from inside the house
and outside the garage.
•theft by receiving stolen
property and giving a false
name, address or birthdate
to a law enforcement officer
at a Blueberry Lane, Winder,
location where a 2014 Kia
Sorento was stopped after a

was given on the vehicle.

residence, where a domestic

where a man reported some
one had entered his 2014
Chevrolet Cruz and stole a
credit card and Keurig cof
fee maker.

an East Broad Street, Wind
er, location.
•speeding and reckless
driving on University Park
way at Jackson Trail Road,
Winder, where a traffic stop
was initiated on the driver of
an Infiniti traveling 104 mph
in a 65-mph speed zone.
•theft by deception at a
Georgetowne Drive, Winder,
residence, where a woman
reported receiving a call stat
ing she had been approved
for an $8,000 loan and she
had no knowledge of the
loan application.
•theft by receiving sto
len property at Carl BP
on Atlanta Highway NW,
where a man and his son
were suppose to meet a male
to purchase an iPad that the
son believed had been stolen
from his father’s truck by a
female friend.
•knowingly driving a
motor vehicle on a suspend
ed, cancelled or revoked reg
istration on University Park
way at Loganville Highway,
Bethlehem, where two vehi
cles were stopped in the left
turn lane due to one of them
being disabled.
•public drunkenness,
possession of methamphet-
amine and possession and
use of drug-related objects at
the BP Gas Station on Atlan
ta Highway NW, Auburn,
where a suspicious person
was reported.
•identity theft fraud at
a Dee Kennedy Road,
Hoschton, residence, where
a woman reported being
denied a cell phone account
because she had an unpaid
cell phone account with the
company that she had never
had.

Winder Industrial Parkway,
Winder, where a traffic stop
was conducted on the driver
of a 2009 Mitsubishi Out-
lander.
•knowingly driving a
motor vehicle on a suspend
ed, cancelled or revoked reg

Harrison Mill Road, Winder,
where a traffic stop was ini
tiated on the driver of a 2013
Honda Civic.
•false imprisonment,
simple battery and simple
assault at a Greeson Road,
Statham, residence, where
a physical domestic dispute
was reported between a
woman and her boyfriend.
•forgery at the Barrow
County Detention Center,
Barrow Park Drive, Winder,
location, where a counterfeit
$20 and $10 were report
edly found in an inmates
property.
•driving while driver's
license is suspended or
revoked, speeding and open
container violation on Mat
thews School Road, Winder,
where the driver of a 2012
Ford F-150 was stopped for
going 45 mph in a 30 mph
school zone.
•attempting or conspiring
to commit financial identity
fraud at a Coveview Circle,
Hoschton, residence, where
a woman reported receiving
two letters from two cred
it card companies where
someone had applied using
her name and address.
•fraud at a Westbury Drive,
Bethlehem, residence, where
a woman reported receiving
a Facebook message from
a "mutual friend” claiming
to have won $200,000 and
advising the complainant
she was also a potential win
ner, but she was directed
to an unknown website and
asked to provide a picture
of her driver's license and
pay $2,000 before she could
collect her winnings.

a Hoyt King Road, Beth
lehem, residence, where a
woman reported her trash
can, owned by her garbage
service company, had been
damaged.
•possession of metham-
phetamine at a Mount Mori
ah Road, Auburn, residence,
where a man reported find
ing a cigarette pack in his
mailbox that contained what
they described as "meth.”
•verbal domestic distur
bance at a Deer Walk Drive,
Winder, residence, where a
man reported his daughter
and his grandson's girlfriend
had been arguing.
•financial transaction card
fraud at a Forsyth Park Lane,
Hoschton, residence, where
a woman reported a fraud
ulent charge on her credit
union statement.
•speeding, reckless driv
ing, racing on highways or
streets, improper passing
in a no-passing zone and
increasing speed while
being passed on Highway
211 NW at Lee Stone Road,
Hoschton, where two drivers
were observed traveling at
a high rate of speed as one
was attempting to pass the
other, with one driver trav
eling on the wrong side of
the road.
•aggravated assault at a
Argonne Road, Winder,
residence, where two men
reportedly got into a fight
and one of them pulled a
pistol on the other.
•criminal trespass at a
Huckleberry Lane, Wind
er, residence, where a man
reported hearing loud noises
outside his residence, and
later found the plastic skirt
ing along the bottom of his
mobile home kicked in.

SW, Winder, residence,
where a man reported dam
age to the driver’s side of his
2011 Nissan Rogue.
•theft by shoplifting at
Tractor Supply on Plaza
Drive, Winder, where a male
reportedly concealed a Tor
pedo level in his pants and
exited the store without pay
ing for the item.
•identity theft fraud at a
Regency Drive, Bethlehem,
residence, where a woman
reported receiving a letter
from an Athens doctor’s
office informing her that her
personal health information
had been breached.
•attempting or conspiring
to commit financial identi
ty fraud at a Wages Road,
Auburn, residence, where
a man reported receiving
notice from his credit mon
itoring service that a PayPal
account had been fraudu
lently opened in his name.
•theft by shoplifting at
Target on Loganville High
way., Bethlehem, where an
employee reported a male
and a female entered the
store, went to the electronics
aisle and the male selected
two items valued at $330,
concealed the items on his
person and passed all points
of sale without attempting to
pay for the items.
•identity theft fraud
at a Lakeview Drive SW,
Winder, residence, where
a woman reported receiv
ing notice from her doctor's
office in Athens that her per
sonal health information had
been breached.
•harassing phone calls at
an Alexander Court, Wind
er, residence, where a man
reported receiving phone
calls from a woman that
had him arrested and keeps
accusing him of stealing
from her.
•financial transaction card
fraud at a Baylor Drive,
Bethlehem, residence, where
a woman reported her friend
had used her debit card to
pay a power bill after being
told not to use the card
because she threw the com
plainant out of the residence.
