TRAFFIC STOP
RESULTS IN
DRUG ARREST
A woman was arrested
for drugs last week after
she was pulled over for a
traffic stop. Officers with
the BPD arrested Stacey
Carter Parten for driving
while driver’s license is
suspended, no insurance,
suspended registration,
wanted person, possession
of a controlled substance,
possession of marijuana
and original container vio

Parten was the driver of
a vehicle pulled over for
no insurance or registra

the outstanding warrant
and officers searched the
vehicle.
They found in her purse
two unlabeled pill botttles
with several different
kinds of pills inside. There
was also a marijuana cig

papers.
Parten said she gets
Prozac from her sister
because her insurance
won’t cover it. When
asked about the 14 yellow

She said she just carries
it around in case she needs
it.
