Statham Police Department Incidents
Man spits in neighbor’s face during dispute
The Statham Police
Department recently
responded to the following
incidents:
•battery at a Broad
Street residence, where
a dispute between neigh
bors was reported. A man
reported his dog got out
and his neighbor brought
the dog back over to him.
The complainant said he
thanked the neighbor and
the neighbor cursed him,
telling him to keep his
dog on a leash. The com
plainant said his neighbor
also spit in his face and
flicked his cigarette at him
(complainant).
•outstanding arrest war
rant served at an Atlanta
Highway location, where
a man was picked up on
warrants out of Sandy
Springs.
•death investigation at an
Elizabeth Street residence.
where a 34-year-old male
was found not breathing.
•outstanding arrest
warrant served at Waffle
House on Atlanta High
way. where a female was
picked up on an outstand
ing warrant out of Barrow
County.
•information request at
a Wise Court residence,
where a woman report
ed there were two kids,
dropped off by the school
bus, who were unable to
get into the home because
the doors were locked.
Officers were able to
locate a keyholder to the
apartment, they entered the
residence and found the
kids’ grandmother in bed
asleep with another grand
child.
•information report at
a Broad Street residence,
where a woman reported
being bitten by a dog as
she was walking along the
sidewalk between her res
idence and the residence
where the dog stays.
ACCIDENTS
The following accidents
were reported to SPD
recently:
•two-vehicle accident
on Ga. 316 at Bethlehem
Road/Ga. 211, where the
driver of a 1996 Lincoln
Town Car reportedly
rear-ended the driver of a
2016 Jeep.
•one-vehicle accident
on Ga. 316 at Wall Road,
where the driver of a 2016
Chevrolet Impala reported
striking a deer.
•two-vehicle accident
on Ga. 316 at Bethlehem
Road/Ga. 211, where the
driver of a 2017 Volvo
tractor reportedly rear-end
ed the driver of a 2014
Chevrolet Malibu that was
stopped at the traffic light.
Braselton Police Department Arrests
Three charged with meth possession
A traffic stop in
Braselton resulted in
the arrests of three peo
ple last week. Russell
Clifford Foster, Theresa
Ann Boyle and Beverly
Jean Shoemake are all
facing charges of pos
session of methamphet-
amine, original container
violation and possession
of a drug-related object
after the incident.
Officers with the
Braselton Police
Department stopped the
vehicle on Hwy. 53 after
it failed to maintain its
lane.
All three people in the
vehicle were reportedly
nervous and spoke at the
same time, giving infor
mation that the officers
did not ask for.
When checking for
the vehicle identification
number (VIN). officers
saw an open purse with
plastic baggies and a
medicine bottle.
Boyle (the driver) later
consented to a search of
the vehicle and emptied
her pockets for officers.
Foster was reportedly hes
itant to empty his pockets
and officers found he had
a medicine bottle with
pills that did not match
the label.
Inside the vehicle, offi
cers found a variety of
pills, a digital scale and
methamphetamine.
In Shoemake’s purses,
they found baggies con
taining a crystal substance
(meth) and glass smoking
devices with a meth resi
due and burn marks.
Neither Foster or Boyle
wanted to speak to officers
after they were arrested.
But Shoemake told offi
cers she had no idea who
put the meth in the vehi
cle or in her purses.
Officers searched
Shoemake and found pills
in her clothing, similar to
pills found in the center
console and in Foster’s
pocket.
SECOND METH
INCIDENT
A woman was arrested
for drugs during a traf
fic stop for a seatbelt
violation. Pamela Tate is
charged with possession of
methamphetamine.
Tate was the passenger
in the vehicle and officers
saw her lean over and place
something in her purse.
Officers spoke with Tate
outside the vehicle and
another passenger report
edly looked at the officer
in the mirror then reached
into the floorboard and
placed something in her
back pocket.
The driver agreed to let
officers search the vehicle.
Inside, they found a clear
plastic baggie in Tate’s
wallet.
The vehicle occupants
said they had taken Tate to
a Hamilton Mill Road resi
dence where she picked up
her belongings and a bag
of meth.
Officers found the drug
and placed her under
arrest.
OTHER ARRESTS
Other arrests made by
the BPD last week were:
•Joneaa Williams-Heath,
possession of marijuana
and driving with a sus
pended driver’s license.
Williams-Heath was pulled
over on 1-85 North for not
having working taillights
and was placed under
arrest for a possible hold
out of Gwinnett County.
Officers smelled marijuana
coming from the vehicle.
When told it would be a
felony if she crossed the
guard line with the sub
stance, she admitted she
had hidden it in the front
of her pants. Officers let
her remove the marijua
na, which was hidden in
a clear plastic baggie and
purple cigar pack.

Possession of meth among incidents reported to Auburn Police
The following incidents
were recently reported to
the Auburn Police Depart
ment:

stolen tag at a Carl-Cedar
Hill Road location, where
an officer attempted to stop
the driver of a Ford truck.
•impoundment of a vehi
cle from Greentree Road at
Hill Shop Road, where a
2005 Honda Odyssey was
picked up.
•possession of meth
amphetamine at Starlight
Academy on Carl-Cedar
Hill Road, where a suspi
cious person was reported.
A man reported another
male was on the premises
trying to open one of the
employee’s vehicle.
•replacement of lost or
stolen tag at a River Trace
residence, where a woman
reported as she was riding
her Honda motorcycle the
tag blew off.
•possession of marijua
na and no insurance at a
Kilcrease Road location,
where a traffic stop was
initiated on the driver of a
