Barrow County Sheriff’s Office Incidents
Criminal trespass, shoplifting reported to BCSO
A criminal trespass
incident was one of many
recently reported to the
Barrow County Sheriff’s
Office.
The incidents included:
•criminal trespass at
a Dooley Town Road,
Statham, residence,
where a woman reported
"squatters” on her fam
ily’s property. She said
this had been a problem
for the past several weeks.
•theft by shoplifting at
Walmart, Atlanta High
way NW, Winder, where
a man attempted to take
items without paying for
them.
•entering an automobile
or other motor vehicle
with the intent to commit
a theft or other felony and
theft by taking at a Dool
ey Town Road, Statham,
residence, where a man
reported his two vehicles,
a 1986 Ford Ranger and a
1995 Chevrolet Lumina,
had been entered and
several items had been
taken from each vehicle.
•criminal trespass at
Walmart, Winder, where a
woman reported someone
struck her 2013 Honda
Civic on the passenger
side front quarter panel
while it was parked at this
location.
•probation violation at a
Highway 53 location.
•simple battery and
simple assault at a Field-
stone Court, Winder, res
idence, where a dispute
was reported between a
woman and her uncle.
•disorderly conduct at
an Argonne Road, Wind
er, residence, where a
man was “threatening to
shoot people with a fire
arm.” The complainant
said his girlfriend’s father
was parked at his resi
dence and “yelling that he
was going to shoot every
one in the trailer park.”
•theft by taking at a
Fieldstone Court, Wind
er, residence, where a
woman reported her
daughter took a 2014 Nis
san Murano without her
permission and her (com
plainant) purse was inside
the vehicle.
•theft by taking and
criminal trespass at a
Jefferson Road, Statham,
residence, where a man
reported the theft of
a 5x10 utility trailer.
He said the trailer was
chained to a tree in his
backyard and someone
cut the chain in order to
get the trailer.
•trespassing at a Ken
dall Park Drive, Winder,
residence, where a man
reported someone had
entered the vacant resi
dence. He said he found
a blanket in the living
room and empty pota
to chip bags throughout
the residence. The com
plainant said the toilet in
the downstairs bathroom
had also been clogged.
•theft by shoplifting at
Walmart, Atlanta High
way NW, Winder, where
a female had report
edly walked through
self-checkout with $217
in items she did not pay
for.
•theft by taking at a
Fieldstone Court, Wind
er, residence, where a
woman reported the theft
of a package from her
mailbox.
•theft by shoplifting and
hold for another agency at
Walmart, Winder, where a
female took $277 in mer
chandise without paying.
•entering an automobile
or other motor vehicle
with the intent to com
mit a theft or other felo
ny at a Stonegate Drive,
Winder, residence, where
a man reported someone
entered his 1996 GMC
Sierra truck and took a
tool set from behind the
driver’s seat.
•theft by conversion at
a Burson Maddox Road,
Winder, residence. A
woman said she read a
Facebook posting from
a female stating that she
was in need of baby sup
plies. The complainant
said her husband deliv
ered some baby items to
the female and she later

her. The complainant said
she asked the female to
return the items, but the
female blocked her from
her Facebook account.
The complainant said the
items in question are val
ued at $169.

property at the Chevron
station on Hog Mountain
Road, Winder. A man said
he left his iPhone 6+ at
this location and when he
returned his cell phone
was missing.
•criminal trespass at a
Rockwell Church Road
NE, Winder, residence,
where a domestic dispute
was reported between a
woman and her cousin.
•speeding, improper
lane change/failure to
maintain lane, driving on
the wrong side of the road,
driving without a valid
driver’s license, fleeing or
attempting to elude a law
enforcement officer for a
felony offense, and driv
ing under the influence
(DUI) of alcohol on Mon
roe Highway at Watson
Road, Winder, where the
driver of a 2004 Mitsub
ishi Gallant was stopped
for speeding 70 mph in a
55-mph speed zone.
•criminal trespass, driv
ing while unlicensed and
theft by taking at a Strat
ford Way, Winder, resi
dence, where two people
were reportedly stealing
shingles from a construc
tion site.
•simple battery at a
Ridgeview Road, Auburn,
residence, where a woman
reported her daughter’s
friend came to her resi
dence and tried to fight
with her husband.
•criminal trespass at
a Chicken Lyle Road,
Winder, residence, where
a man reported another
male was at the residence
and refused to leave after
being asked to do so.
•domestic dispute at an
Anita Drive, Winder, res
idence, between a brother
and sister.
•hit and run; duty of the
driver to stop at or return
to the scene of an accident
on Loganville Highway at
Matthews School Road,
Winder. A woman driv
ing a 2016 Jeep Wrangler
reported another driver
crossed the centerline
and struck her vehicle
and continued on without
stopping.
•outstanding arrest
warrant on Carl-Cedar
Hill Road at Highway
211 NW, Winder, where
a traffic stop was initi
ated on the driver of a
2012 Dodge Caravan who
failed to stop at a red
light.
•no insurance on High
way 124, Hoschton,
where an abandoned 2001
Ford Ranger was located
on the side of the road.
•driving without a
valid driver’s license and
improper lane change/
failure to maintain lane on
Atlanta Highway NW at
Ed Hogan Road, Winder,
where a traffic stop was
conducted on the driver
of a 2002 Ford Explorer,
•reckless driving on
University Parkway at
Loganville Highway,
Bethlehem, where a traf
fic stop was conducted on
the driver of a 2015 Kia
Optima.

where an employee
reported five different
security cameras missing
from the store.
