‘Folkston Votes 500,000
| For Larger Schools
FOLKSTON, Ga., April 28—(#)—
Folkston Monday voted $50,000 in
bonds by virtually a unanimous vote
for enlarging and modernizing . its
school system.
Last year Charllon county spent
more meney in school house con
struction than it spent in all since
the founding of the country. This'
bond issue, with others already pass
ed, insures the duplication of that
record this year. l

STUDENTS LEARN BREWER
TRICK, TEACHER OUSTED
BENTON, 111., April 28—(#)— R.
iH. Hannap, 37-year-old instructor
in chemistry in the Hester township
high school near.here, believes a la
boratory cxperiment in grain fer
mentation has an educational value.
The school directors think differeni
ly and have ousted him because suchl
experiments “were conducted in the
school. 1
The controversy stated with the
text book in chemistry, Hannah said.
The making of the alcohol was de
scribed in the book and the class at
tempted the experiment. Interest was{
manifested by some of the boys in!
the class and they suggested a study
of grain fermentation. l
A small quantity of wheat was
provided by one pupil and it was
placed in jars to ferment, the in
structor said. Three of the boys
wanted to remain after school even
to devote additional time to the ex--|
periment. Their request was granted
and the school janitor saw what was
going on and reported it to the
school board.
The ultimatum for Hannah to re
sign or be prosecuted for an alleged
violation of the prohibition laws was
the result. The instructor refused but
the board ousted him. Pupils who
asked to devote extra time to the
fermentation study were suspended
for several days.

Retired Minister Tells How He
Keeps in Good Form With
the Assistance of é
Black-Draught.
West Graham, Va~—The Rev.
Lewis Evans, a well-’known retired
minister, now past 80, living here,
has a high opinion of Black-
Draught, which he says he has
taken when needed, for 25 years.
“For years I had been suf'f;flng
with my liver,” he says. “Some
times the pain would be very in
tense and my back would hurt ali
the time. Black-Draught was the
first thing I found that would give
me any relief. 3
“My liver has always been slug
gish. Sometimes it gives me a lot
of trouble, I have suffered a lot
with it—pains in my side and back,
and bad headache, caused from ex
treme biliousness.
“After I found Black-Draught, T
would begin to take it as soon as ¥
felt a spell coming on and it re:
lieved the cause -at once. I c¢am
recommend it to anybody suffer
ing from liver trouble. A dose or
