The house of representatives has ap
proved the senate sugar defense bill,
creating a sugar intelligence com
mission. The senate has approved the
house sugar crop' restriction bill.‘
Both bills now go to the president for
his approval.

sion for collection of sugar produc
tion and crop conditions: the housel
bill legalizes the plan set before the|
president but sugar cane planters!

removed to Suffolk - County, New
York to answer charoces of stealing
76 bushels of potatoes. |

oy Is Accused Slaying
Girl Who Kicked Dog
IRONTON, Ohio, April 30—(P)—
Because she kicked his dog, after he
warned her to desist, Roy Yates, 17.
shot to death 9-year-old Stella Binion
according to an affidavit of her 13-
.Jrearold brother, filed today. Po
lice charged Yates with murder.
. The shooting, considered accident
al at the time, occurred October 6
last. The Binion boy said Yates
threatened him with death if he told
of the affair and he kept silent until
today.
South Georgia Plans

WAYCROSS, Ga., April 30—(&)
—The formation of a south Georgia
agency for the purpose of advertis
ing the resources and advantages of
that section of the state has been pro
posed and a meeting will be held
probably in this eity withon the next
few weeks for the purpose of dis
cussing the immediate organization
of such a body, according to an
nouncements today. ‘
Bainbridge, Quitman, Valdosta and
Brunswick have expressed a desire
for such an organization and other
cities are being consulted.

Roosters In Chicken Flocks

—(/P)—Decreeing the rooster to be a
public nuisance and a costly one, an
appeal was broadcast today from
San Antonio calling on farmers to
slay ten thousand of the daylight hex
alders on May 1.
