ORLANDO, Fla., May 6-—Secre
tary of Agriculture William Jardine
in speaking at a luncheon given
here in his hoonr, urged quality in
production of citrus fruit, compli
mented Florida's fruit and its market
ing organizations, but said there war
a need for better care for the fruit.
“The utmo:t care and attention
must be given fruit trees from the
time the groves are started,” he de
clared.
He also urged a uniformity in
grades of fruit in various sections of
the state in order that large quanti
ties could be shipped ai a time rail
way rates reduced and uniformity in
marketing is established. ;
