constable and leader of the polmcal%
opposition to August Krubaech, super
visor, was arrested today in connec
tion with the bomb outrage which
cost the lives of Krubaech, his daugh
ter, Janet, and hen fiance, William
Frank, at Three Lakes Tavern yes
terday.
Bartlett is leader of the Klan in
Blue Lake and has been active in en
forcing the prohibition law.,
MUSKEGON, Mich,, May 28 (P)—
Miss Janet Krubaech, nineteen years
old, died today, the third victim of a
mail bomb that exploded in the lob
by of her father's resort hotel, Three
Lakes Tavern, yesterday.
William R. Frank, who was. to have
married Miss Krubaech Saturday, was
killed instantly and August Krubaech,
her father, died shortly after the ex
plosion, »
Only one theory is held, that the
bhomb wias inspired and mailed be
caulse of hitter political hatred of
Krubaeda who was recently elected
supervisor of Blue Lake township af
ter a bitter fight with the Ku Klux
Klan.
CLASS BACK IN OLD ROOM
Sunday morning is to be a great
occasion with the Men's Bible Class
at the Baptist church. Arrangements
haye been made whereby the men g 0
hack to their old room on the second
tloor of the frame building.
. The Junior department of the Sun
day school, which has been using this
room for the past year, will now use
the pastorium, which ig splendidly ad
apted to: their needs. The officers,
teachers and pupils of -the Junior de
partment, as wiell as the members of
the Men’s Bible class, are very much
pleased over this new arrangement,
and a great day is looked for in the
Sunday school.

ty, integrity, knowledge of law, and
fairness to discharge with fidelity
and carpacity the duties devolving up
on a United States judge.”
