Archer E. Stone, former vice presi
dent of the Brotherhood of Loco
motives Enzineers Cooperative
Trust company, was arrested charg
ed with embezziement of $9,000
from Mrs. Julin Ward,
Mrs. Ward aileges she gave Stone
$5,000" in November, 1524, for in
vestment in a stock pool. After v
ceiving some dividends from Stone
she alleges she zave him an addition
al $4,900 for investment,
Mrz. Ward charged that several
months after he had severed connec
tions with the Brotherhood Trust
Company. Stons came to her home
When she asked him to return the
$9,000 Mrs, Ward in an affidavit
quoted Stone as saying:
“The money s no longer in the
stock pool. 1T withdrew it to inyvest
it in ecertain property in Fiorida in
wheh 1 have b2en interested, 1 ad
mit I did wronz and il you had a
gun you would Fave a right to shoot
me for the wrongful way I treated
