CHICAGO FIDDLER YIELDS
TO MUSIC & TAKES BRIDE
CHICAGO, August 13—(P)—The
lavender gcented breath of romance
has blown down Michigan boule
vard, removing from that avenue of
fashion one of its most picturesque
figures,
oOld Frank Ritter, the blind fid
dler, who for more than a decade
has drawn dimes and quarters from
the public by his plaintive “heart
tunes” finally succumbed to his own
music. He was lead to the altar of
matrimony by a elehder, smiling lit
tle woman of 256 who gave her name
as Mrs, Eva Del Principe, of New
York.
Ritter is 57 and in recent years
has become as much a part of the
famous boulévard as the Art insti
tute itself. His long yellow hair
falling in curls about his shoulders,
his cane, his fiddle and his dog,
who have become familiar even to
those who visit the lake front only
once or twice a year,
Now “the fdidler of Boul Mich”
will leave his old haunts forever. His
bride has obtained employment for
him in a .basemint--'efibaret.
The romance is as much a mys
tery as old Ritter hfrtns'elf. Mrs. Del
Principe has been a companion of
Ritter on the strbgtfihme‘l" h!y. %fih
ful old dog, Pocha‘@’mtas’,‘.’fiv%;lf’illed
Ly an automobile récently.
They were married Tuesday after
noon at the county building after
three judges had refused to perform
the ceremony because of the dis
crepancy in their ages. I
of fatigue! Remarkable smoothness at
every speed! Acceleration that is a
delight in traffic! Power that conquers
hills and mud and sand—
—such are the almost revolutionary
qualities attained by a new and super
.ior;method of mounting the motor in
the chassis and by a new camshaft with
scientifically determined quieting
curves.
Arrange for a demonstration!
Admire the brilliant beauty of the new
and striking Duco colors on every
model! Rich Algerian Blue on the
Sedan; smart Thebes Gray on the
Coach; Alpine Green on the Landaus
Dundee Gray on the Coupe; and on all
open models, modish Biscay Green.
Mark the greater convenience of the
centralized throttle and spark control!
Note that all enclosed models with
theit bodies by Fisher now carry an
approved stop-light as standard equip
ment and have a front door pocket.
Then take the wheel—and you will
quickly learn that today’s Chevrolet
with its new smoothmess, new features:
and new colors, is a car that only
Chevrolet could build—a value that
only Chevrolet could offes,
