To the Honorable D. A. R, Crum, Judge of said court,
We the Grand Jury, serving at the July, term, 1926. Make our report
as follows we attach various reports from county officers, and make them
part of our presentments,
We recommend the clerk of the Grand Jury be paid §3.50 per day for
his services, and the Baileff be paid $2.00 per day.
We recommend the following names be placed on the paupers list, and
paid the amount opposite their names:

last term of Superior Court, and turned over to J. H. Pitts, . Tax Collector,
Cpisp County, (Seven thousand, zix hundred thirty-six dollars, ninety-one
qglts) $7.636.91. : o
4« I wizh to say we have collected all of 1925 State and County taxes, with
o ‘.,"‘exccption of about (one hundred ninety-nine dollars) $199.00, which was
,\a*med back to the Tax Collector, as insolvent Taxes. As being no Property
tidund, upon which to levy. 1 wish to say that we had the best cellection
on 1525 Taxes, we have had any year since I have been Sheriff, respect.

William Stanely, said to be wanted
on a charge of murder in conncetion
with the death of a sheriff in Floyd
county, Kentucky, was shot and kill
ed near here last’ night when a con-I
stable raided a moonshine plant, I

Since my report to the April Term, 1926, Grand Jury, no money has
come into my hands belonging to Crisp County, and I now have no money in
my hands belonging to Crisp County and unaccounted for. \
