of Kansas, who last June refused to
accept 4 United States navy com
migsion at the naval academy grad--
uation exercises, will plead his case
tomorrw before Rear Admiral Louis
M. Nulton, academy superintendent.
Zirkle, when he declined to take
the navy oath of allegiance, was or
dered aboard the practice squadron
for the summer cruise with under
clagsmen, by Secretary Wilbur.
The squadron is due to anchor in
the roadstead off Annapolis tomor
row and Zirkle will be called before
Superintendent Nulton for a person
al interview. The result will be for
warded to Washington.

con and Atlanta on Saturday,

and corrupt purchase of seats in the
United States senate.” Z
Declaring that Senator Reed was
“unexcelled in debate, incorruptible
and courageous,” the committee
praised him for his part in the re
cent primary election expense ac
count investigation,
“The most commanding figure in
the greatest deliberative body in the
world, we endorse him as Missouri’s
candidate for president of the
