(P)—A pretty girl of 20 has spurne
ed the family firegide for life in an
obgcure religious cult,
Iznoring the pleas of her mother,
‘who had come from New IHaven
Cann., to bring her home, Dorothy
Marshall told state troopers she pre
fcrred to live at Zarapeh college, |
near here. The college is conducted
by the Pillar of Fire sect.
The troopers, therefore, refused to
take her from the institution.
Mrs. Ruth Marshall had charged
that her daughter was beine held
anaingt her will, She said she had
l traced Dorothy to Cincinnati, Louis
i ville and other cities but that each
time she located her, members of
the scet took the girl to another

away at two o’clock this morning to
