- PRIVATE FUNERAL
NEW YORK, August 27—An ad
verticement in Thursday’s papers clo
quently revealed that the wild dis
order attendant to the viewing of
the body of Rudolph Valentino, was
emlc"d. It read:
“W(‘#'\vish to announce that the
normal decorum and dignity now
prevails at the Frank E. Campbell
| funeral chureh,”
Police, however, took no chances,
maintaining a 24-hour guard around
the establishment, |
Meanwhile, plans were being com
pleted for the “great lover's” burial
'-I\fonday. The funeral will be simple
—not the grandinose procession
which had been planned in order to
appease “his public.” That plan was
abandoned by 8. George Ullman, the
late actor’s personal representative,
hecause of the gross exhibition of
| morbid curiosity during the time
‘when Valentino’s body lay in state.
Services. will be . held at the
a'u,:t‘.fn"’s (;l‘l:ap‘(-l of St'. Malachy’s with
Pather B. 1. Leonard celobrating at’
a requiem mass. Attendance will hoj

“Natacha Rambova” (Valentino’s

nut) has offered the use of the |
Hudnut family vauit at Woodlawn\
cemetery. It is unlikely that the |
kind offer will be accepted. A tom-g
porary vault. will be leased, pending |
ultimate disposition of the bndy,‘
which T am sure, Valentino’s friends
would desire to see interred in 1101-4

It Never Looked Better!
“It seemed soiled and stained
heyond recovery. What a sur
prise there was in store for me.
A friend suggested that I have
it cleaned, aad I followed her
advice. Today, it came back
from the cleaner's, and I could
hardly believe my eyes. When
I examineq it, I found that
avery spot had disappeared, It
looked as fresh and new as the
day 1 bought it.”
