ATILLANTA, Ga., September 3—Re
ceivership proceedings for a de
positor's guarantee fund” amounting
to $362,161, with acerued interest of
$79, which was created in 1912
through an agreement of the chain
of banks ailied with the Bankers
Trugt Company, of Atlanta, was
gought in a bill in cquity filed in
fedeiral court Thursday by Attornev
Carl Davis and Judge Orville Park
for the state banking department,
in behalf of the Bank of Homestead
Ila.
According to the bill this deposit
ors puarantee fund wag created to
protect the depositors of the mem
berz of the so-called “within a chain
of banks.” There are 134 banks
which paid into the fund annually
$2,702 cach, which entitled cach
bank to protection of depositors uv
to $25,000.
