MY LITTLE BOY
Little boy, you are the dream
Of all the years come true;
You are & soft, sweet tiny thing
From Heaven'’s shining blue,
T";ie\ patter of your tiny feet :
Is music through the day;
So soon those feet will wayward
grow
And swiftly turn away.
%
And out, upon Life’s Broad Ilighway
Your pilgrimage begun:
You will be strone and valiant
My tiny baby son,
. For I shall teach you bravery
And truth and honor too;
So through the years of manhood
I may be proud of you.
My little boy who is so small
So dear and frail and sweet;
I cannot guide you all the way
- The years of life are fleet.
But I would want you honest
If, when the choosing came
You followed paths of duty
Or played at fortune’s game.
My little boy be goo dand true
Be clea,n throughout life’s span;
Yon are a fresh sweet baby now
But soon you’ll be a man.
i
And in the vears when I am gone
When time brings grief with joy;
Know always that you’re in my heart
to stay—my little boy.

POETRY FOUND IN SINDH
o ,
| LONDON, October TP) —"The
discovery of previously unknown
‘poems by Omar Khayyam is deserib
icd in a dispateh to the Daily Mail
ll“.xpr(ss from Khari, British India,
The correspondent says workmen in
digging a foundation for a building
in the province of Sindh, unearthed
a brass case containing manu
geripts of many hitherto unknown
quotations written by Omar during
hiswandcrings in Shingdh.
The verses contain allusions to
The Median, a probable conqueror of
Sindh whose history is lost in an-
Liquity.
| The correspondent says it had
ot been known previously that
Omar visited Sindh and that will
add to the history of the poet’s life.
Omar, a Persian, died in the firsl
quarter of the twelfth century.
