FRED M. HOUSER DIES AFTER
ILLNESS OF FEW DAYS.
PERRY, Ga., November 3——(/P)—
Fred M, Houser, 76, one of the
city’s most influential citizens died
at his home last night following on
illness of several days,
Mr. Houser was a native of Perry
and had been engaged in the mer
cantile business in this city for many
years, and only relinquished his in- |
terest a few ycars ago when his
health failed, The business was then
transferred to his son.
Mr. Houser was one of the most
active citizens in the eity. He t?okl
a prominent part in the civic enter
prigses and was a contributing factor
in developing the city, He was an 2c
tive member of the Perry Methodist
church and had been a member cf
the board of stewards for more than
40 years, and had been connected
with the schurch for more than 50
years, |
Funeral services will be held at the
Methodist church tomorrow after-|
noon at 4 o’clock and interment. \\'iil‘
be in the churchyard.
