ranged for Bridge and an interesting'
game was enjoyed until late after
noon when the lovely gifts were pre

The Twentieth Century Club was
delightfully entertained Wednesday
afternoon at the home of Mrs. John
Hancock.
The president, Mrs. Bruce Wil
liams presided over the business
mecting. After reading the Collect
the club began the study of “Modern
‘Women Novelistz.”
Mrs. J. W. Mann was in charge of
the program for the afternoon, and
she gave a very interesting introduc
tion to the study of the novel, Three
splendid and intercsting papers were
read.

was repeated in concert.
The minut\es of the lazst meeting
were read and adopted.
Miss Emma Campbell gave a very
interesting talk on “Reading” which
was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
The program was made short by
the absence of several on program.
‘The pregram committee appointed
were as follows: Mr. Luke Brooks,
chairman, Misscs Mamie Rodgers and
Tone Wolf.
The reports were coliected, checks
distributed and the meeting adjourn
ed by “Georgia Land.”
