On April 2, council members went on record saying they want ed that to change. City Coun cil unanimously passed a resolution asking for a direct line of communica tion with the Fulton County Board of Education. Public safety services reorganized Bi DAN WHISENHUNT danwhisenhunt@reporternewspapers.net The city has restructured its public safety departments, creating a position that will oversee both police and fire ser vices. City Council on April 2 watched as City Manager John McDonough officially swore in Terry Suit as the city’s new Director of Public Safety, and swore in Kenneth DeSimone as the city’s new Chief of Police. Suit’s annual salary will be $157,635 and DeSimone’s sal ary will be $ 140,000.
