Southeastrans to relocate
headquarters to Villa Rica
Two announce early for state court seat to
replace outgoing Judge Robert Sullivan

Southeastrans, Inc., will be invest
ing $20 million into Carroll County
when the company relocates its
Arkansas headquarters and operation
center to Villa Rica. A well attended
groundbreaking ceremony for the new
building was held November 19th at
843 Dallas Highway (next to Tanner
Medical Center).
CEO, and Villa Rica High School
graduate, Steve Adams first
announced his intentions to make this
move last February when he spoke at
Villa Rica’s Mainstreet “Leadership
Luncheon”. “Nothing would make me
prouder,” stated Adams at the lunch
eon, “than to bring my company back
to Villa Rica.”

Carroll County attorneys Met Lane and Erica Tisinger each announce intention to run
Qualifying to be held March 2-6, 2020
Carrollton attorney Erica Tisinger
announced her campaign for Carroll
County State Court Judge. She has
more than 16 years of experience in
both the public and private sectors.
She is currently a partner at Greer
Tisinger where she specializes in fam
ily law. She has tried several jury trials
and hundreds of bench trials. She is a
partner at Greer Tisinger, LLC.
Tisinger was the first candidate to
officially announce a campaign to
replace retiring Judge Robert Sullivan.
The election will be held on May 19,
2020.
“As State Court Judge, you have
my word to be firm, fair, and faithful
to the rule of law,” Tisinger said. “It
will be my top priority to keep our

How much do you know about your sep
tic system? How long does a typical system
last? What are the proper procedures for
maintenance? How do you determine if it is
functioning properly? What do you do if it
needs repairing, replacing, or upgrading?
And how do you determine if it does?
Seth Woodrow, deputy district environ
mental health director, and Jake Holloway,
Carroll County Environmental Health man
ager, recently offered their knowledge and
advice to homeowners.
First of all, when it comes to having a
septic system serviced/pumped, Woodrow
says the state recommends every three to
five years, but that is a general range, and
other factors apply.
“The more people living in the home, the
more often you need to do it,” he said. “If
you have more than four or five people liv
ing in one house, you can stretch it out to
five years, but more than that, and you need
to do it closer to three years.”
What does a typical, general service
entail? Woodrow said it involves only a cou
ple of basic elements. First, the tank is
pumped out. Then, the inlet and outlet por
tions of the tank are examined to make sure
that are in good condition and functioning
properly. If they are, then this should com
plete a general service job.
Holloway further clarified that it is not a
requirement that the tank be pumped out
every three to five years, but rather a
