We want t6 meet you on the gridiron. In our first issue of the Kki> and Black we strongly urged the stu dents to contribute to the sheet. The election of officers for the next staff of editors after Xmas will de Wili we have a “Pandora” this From the looks of things the answer is no. Thie is a great pity, as the issuing of this popular annual is a much looked for event in college circles every year. We suppose the trouble is College Poli tics—the old evil. Is this evii to spread on and on till it crushes out all the pleasures of college life and builds up a barrier between friends. It is perhaps a necessary evil in the class elections, but it should not be allowed to exist elsewhere. Every day it is spreading out and entering into organizations wiiere it should lie an unknown quantity. Can’t there he a compromise made he tween the college men ? Cannot this evil be shut out from some or ganization besides the Kki> and Black? The idea of the University of Georgia not publishing an An nual t|iis term because such a tiling exists ! Let us keep out of polities till we have left college life behind us. Many may say this is an old discussion, ami that politics cannot j be broken up at the U. of G. This! may be so, but the Uki> ani> Black lias started out on a crusade against this enemy and will continue in her efforts to crush the evil, though we may have our efforts for naught.
