to Miss I’.inma Tuck, of that city. Mr
and Mrs. Stallings, after viewing the
large cities of the North, will return to
Athens, wliieh they will make their fu
ture home.

We regret to chronicle the death of
Mr. It. DeT. Lawrence, of Marietta, a
inemlier of the class of , J).'i. |(c departed
this life on last Sunday, surrounded by
loving friends and relatives. Ilis sick
ness was sudden and painful, hut he re
ceived all the loving care that tender
hands could give him. lie was a man of
loving ways and noble character, and to
the family, in their sad bereavement. *«•
