Dr. (ieorge Suinmey, the
Chancellor, is an alumnus of
the University of Georgia, and
a class mate of Chancellor Hill.
To him is given till the praise
for obtaining the handsome gift
from Mr. Mcl'oiiib. It isagreat
pleasure to note this success of
.one of the sons of our Univer
sity.
The University of Virginia re
cently unveiied a bust of Edgar
Allen I’oe with very imposing
ceremonies. I'oe attended the
University a short time, but did
not graduate. This is a beauti
ful case of appreciation of ge
nius, such as has more than
once been shown to a student
who has left his College or Uni-
versity without graduation.
