ding. She is the guest of Miss
Dorothy Shannon.
On Wednesday night at the
Chi Phi house the “Caed” held
a meeting. Regular business
was attended to and new pins
were ordered. F. II. Barrett
read an excellent paper on Col
lege Journalism.
The friends of Luke Tate will
regret to learn of the death of
his father, Col. Stephen Tate.
Col. Tate was one of the most
influential men in North Geor
gia and has done more to ad
vance its commercial interests
than almost any other mania
that section.
The Georgia Alpha chapter
of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity
together with their local alum
ni, gave a very enjoyable ban
quet last Friday night after the
North Carolina debate. The
repast was bountiful, the en
thusiasm marked, and the
toasts eloquent.

On Monday evening The
Thursday Night Social dub w as
delightfully entertained by Mis-
Mabel Brumby. A unique
guessing game was played. At
each table were the letters of I
the alphabet and the game was [
to guess the names of persons
and things beginning with these
letters. At one table you had
to guess the names of great
men, at another the names of
cities, then came names of flow-;
era, fruit, vegetables, tiling-
found in a drug store, dry goods
store, and grocery store.
The prize for best guessing!

After the game delightful re-j
freshments were nerved and
then a few other games were en
gaged in. Those present were :
