Score l.'i to 12.
There were many loyal Mueon-
ites out to root for Georgia, ami
the profusion of Weil anil ltluck
in the grandstand, showing
Georgia's strength in Macon,
was a welcome sight to our nnhh
wairiors ami cheered them on to
victory.
After a little wanning up in
the lirst in which Georgia scored
once uud Macon twice,
lows emptied ull of their hats out
of the hag and got hu«y in tin
next round. They unmercifully
pounded Mosely to every part of
the lot, scoring seven runs. The
Baptists seeing our desire for
runs was sincere kindly ignored

ii o m i c a I observations which -''l ,u,,| ion U Mosh \ _,
thoughtful conduct helped our I bo8 ‘”» 7 ’ Mmvr 51
swatters some.
It looked like a cinch from
then on, Fielder twirling nobly
and holding them down with
euse, until the seventh. Struck
with compunction at the lopsid
ed appearance of a score of S to
4, he presented the li rst three
men up with tickets entitling
them to one base each, and, (hid
ing that lie still had a few more
left in his book, issued free
transimration to two more, fore-1 their championship hopes
ing in two runs. The next ap
plicant was refused a pass. This
made him mad, so in revenge lie
swatted the next ball for three j
sucks and thereby scored three
more runs. McWhorter then re
lieved Fielder, hut the Baptists
refused to <|iiit until they had
scored seven in that inning
Georgia, shocked at such rude
conduct on the part of her hosts,
got offended and scored four
time* in the very next inning,
and then three more in the ninth.
The team simply drew an off
day on holding and played High
School hall. But our seven errors
don’t look so hud when Mercer’s
twuive are shown along side of
them, and thirteen hits opposed
to seven ought to win any time.
Barring the blow up of the
seventh it wasn't so had.
Who cares for details anyway,
since we won the game? Give
us all the games and we’ll take a
thousand errors. For those who
desire to know the why* and
w herefores we submit this score:
