' RUNNING BY GEORGIA.
The Baptist Allow Us to Walk Away With
The First Game But Put up Some
Opposition in the Second.
Yesterday afternoon Georgia
started out in earnest on her trip
iuquest of the pennant which re
presents the state championship.
Mercer obstructed the path, but
with an impatient wgve of the
hand was brushed aside.
Score 7 to 2.
The Macou outfit simply v.as
not in it. Cowboy Fielder on the
flinging line was invinsible. At
the very outset of the roundup
he lassoed t he Baptist delega
tion, and during the entire after
noon they got loose but three
times and broke out of the corral
hut twice. Eleven times they
frantically beat the uir while he
dragged them off.

team seemed to have an attack

a marked improvement over
their work of yesterday, while

Shannon, of Mercer, was very ef
fective. Brown pitched two in
