THE RED AND BLACK
Athletic Report Is Submitted*
Col. Griggs Makes a Report Showing the Financial Condi
tion o{ the Athletic Association.
Below we print Col. tirififis’
athletic report for this spring. It
shows the Association to still he
in debt to the amount of $11)25
in notes held by-three men.
A big chunk has been cut oil'
of the debt we started out with
last January, and the only dis
couraging feature is the shame
less way in which some of the
boys are not paying up the money
they pledged themselves to pay.
Col. (iriggs’ report follows:

The 1906 Pandora
The Pandoras were put on sale
last week and have been selling
rapidly. The management hopes
to dispose of them all this year.
This Pandora is a very attract
ive one, and is well balanced.
The binding is in red limp rus-
sian leather and makes a pretty
appearance. The drawings are
good, many of them very clever,
the jokes are quite timely and
the poetry is good. Some of the
knocks are rather hard sounding,
but are merely college-boy fun.
The volume is dedicated to the
lute Chancellor Hill, uml the
frontispeiee is u very good like
ness of him. Following this is
a short sketch of the Chancellor’s
life, then a beautiful poem by
Mr. It. J. II. Delsiaoh, “To Our
Dead Chancellor.”
There is no fiction
volume, but pictures
poems, jingles, records,
etc. There ure quite
many typographical errors, but
on the whole this is one of the
best Pandoras ever gotten out.

Georgian Editors Appointed
The Georgian board of editors
has l>cen appointed, and gives
general satisfaction. As the
appointees are without exception
well qualified to till their posi
tions, the Georgian under their
administration should continue
to hold the high place in South
ern college literature that it has
occupied for the past few years.
The retiring board deserves
nothing but credit for the ex
cellent magazine it has gotten
out during the past year, for it
has been a credit to the Uni
versity. The board may retire
content in the conviction that 1
