With the sun streaming, the c olors
ditto, a slight chill tingling the at
mosphere, and a good yard full ot
bulged eyes fanatic s wildly whooping
things up, old Georgia waded right
into the Davidson lineup this after
noon and waded right out again
(but not cpiite cptick enough.)
Score: Davidson 15. Georgia o.
The game was rather late in start
ing, neither putting in an appearance
for practice until the: scheduled time
for beginning the game. I he root
ers didn’t seem to mind this in the
least however, but [waited patiently
over near the entrance whence the
team was expected to appec, until

I he game was clean and <pn< k for
mo t part, tnough when Georgia
got going in whirlwind fashion once
during the second half Davidson ex
hibited a tendency to loiter. The
halves were 20 and 10 minutes, and
were jam up with football. Mr.
George Butler of N. C did the
refereeing and Mr. Sibley of Vander
bilt assumed the title of His Umps,
Hugh Gordon of Athens acted as
head linesman.
The Davidson team was somewhat
heavier than our line-up, and showed
an ecpial speed. They played a swift,
hard game, and an exceedingly sure
one. McKay at full track was a reg
ular demon for gaining through the
line, while Klliott at quarter ran the
team in great style and put a drop
kick over our bars from the Ho yard :
